TEST DAY RESULTS

Congratulations to all skaters passing Skate Canada tests on March 16, 2008.  Skaters passing tests are listed here.

 

TAX RECEIPTS

Skaters making payments in the last few weeks of skating will receive tax receipts in the near future--following confirmation of payment by the registrar.  Skaters who were paid in full by the due date should already have received a receipt.  Please contact the club if you did not receive one.

 

SPRING/SUMMER SCHOOL INFO:

The Bayplex in Glace Bay and Antigonish will both be hosting spring skating schools in April.  Please contact the club if you require information.  Summer skating is offered in Antigonish for 6 weeks in June/July, and there is usually a 3-4 week program offered in Sydney in August.  Both Sydney and Antigonish offer a fall school program in September/October as well.  Please note, these schools work differently than our club in terms of coaching--if you require lessons, you usually need to arrange same with a coach well in advance.  Our coaches may be available on some sessions.  Let us know if you plan to attend, and we can help you make arrangements for lessons--either with ourselves or with a coach in the area.

  

(DESPERATELY) SEEKING EXECUTIVE MEMBERS!!!!!

Our club cannot run without an executive and volunteers.  Although we were fortunate to have a few new members this year, more assistance is needed.  Please let us know if you can assist in any way.  We are currently seeking a membership/registration person.  It should be noted that many positions in the club have been held by the same individuals for SEVERAL years because no one else has volunteered to fill them.  It is unfair to ask these same individuals to continue to shoulder all of the responsibilities involved in running the club.  If our membership wishes to continue having a club to skate at, the solution would be to volunteer in some way--no matter how small!!

 

 VOLUNTEERS

are needed to assist on Fridays with the Co-op draw (a big source of income for the club, and the primary reason the club's rates are at least $100 lower per skater than most clubs!!!).  We also require volunteers in all areas of the club's operation.  Please contact the club for details. 

 

PROGRAMS: 

 Are now complete for the 2007-2008 season.  Please check back frequently for updates in regard to next year's programs.
