CanSkate – designed for beginners of all ages with the focus on fun, participation and basic skill development.  (Group lesson format) 

 

STARSkate – Skills, Tests, Achievement, Recognition – what is all about! Skaters of all ages develop fundamental figure skating skills.  (Group and Private lesson format)

 

As part of STARSkate, we offer the following programs:

CanFigureskate—For skaters working on Stages 5, 6 or 7 of the Canskate Program. Group lesson format only, 1 hour sessions twice per week. 

Junior–For skaters working on Stage 7 of the Canskate program or not yet passed any Skate Canada Freeskate tests.  1 1/2 hour sessions, twice per week.  Private lessons may be added to group package.

IntermediateFor  skaters who have passed any Preliminary test OR over 14 years of age. 1 1/2 hour sessions, twice per week.  Private and group lesson packages available.  Skaters may add additional lessons to packages.   

Senior–For skaters passed Sr. Bronze Freeskate test OR working on Senior Bronze Freeskate and passed either of:  Sr. Bronze Skills or Senior Bronze Dance test.  1 1/2 hour sessions, twice per week.  Private and group lesson packages available.  Skaters may add additional lessons to packages.

 

Adult skating – a fun, learning and social opportunity for this segment of the population.  Adults participate in CanSkate, STARSkate, programs and synchronized skating teams.

 

Synchronized skating – a specialized discipline involving teams of twelve or more skaters performing in unison to music. (May be offered if sufficient interest)

 

 

When you sign up for a skating program at your club you become a member of Skate Canada. Your Skate Canada membership fee of $30.00 includes access to all Skate Canada programs and also provides insurance coverage.
